Darnell is a loving and resilient little boy. He is a fighter and will continue to excel in all he can. He is an adorable and happy child. Darnell enjoys being talked to and getting individual attention. He communicates through sign language and is always trying to learn new words. He is a strong child and has far exceeded expectations. Darnell is happiest playing outside, sitting in his pool, going for walks, and jumping on the trampoline. He loves his Leap Pad. He likes to play with the screen, pressing the volume buttons and listening to the sounds. He attends school at home and continues to achieve new educational milestones, like learning new words to sign and using electronics. He enjoys reading and watching YouTube as part of his school activities. Darnell has captured the hearts of his caregivers and will make a lovely addition to the right forever family.

Darnell's forever family will be willing and able to meet his extensive healthcare needs. His family will keep him active and engaged in activities to stimulate his cognitive and physical growth. His family will need to be willing to engage him in extracurricular activities. It is asked that his forever family has experience or background caring for a child who has a G- button, Trach, and is vent dependent. His forever family will use positive reinforcement techniques with parenting Darnell to provide a highly structured environment and have clear boundaries set in place. His forever family will provide Darnell with love and affection. Darnell prefers a routine, but even though he likes routines, things must be switched up to help him adjust to changes without any issues.
